Eileen McKeon Butt - Science Art and Contemporary Art

My work is a celebration of life as a creative person. For me this means a non-linear way of looking at the world, where time often works on an entirely different scale. It is also a reflective way of existence: everything is connected, and I want to find out how.

A lot of the things I'm most interested in are a bit out of the ordinary, like still lifes that aren't really still, or elements of the world around us that we don't normally get to visualize, like the DNA double helix, or the ghostly traces of Higgs bosons. I love the intersection of physical nature and abstract art, and am constantly inspired by the world around me.

Through my artwork, I invite viewers into a different world, where tiny details are made vast and important, where reality might seem slightly skewed, but where, in the end, everything ultimately makes sense.
