Image of a decaying Higgs boson at the CERN particle accelerator in Geneva, Switzerland. The Higgs boson was first observed at the ATLAS and CMS experiments at CERN in 2012. The discovery represented a triumph of experimental physics, as the particle had been proposed by Sir Peter Higgs in the 1960s to describe the origin of mass, but is now experimentally proven. It is now part of the Standard Model of particle physics.

Original painting sold. Limited edition, fine art prints on paper and canvas are available in a variety of sizes. Please contact me using the Contact tab on this website to request more information.
