Fatal Attraction: Black Hole in Galaxy M60 Drawing in NGC4647 and M60-UCD1
2014
acrylic on illustration board
2.5x3.5
A closer look at the giant black hole in galaxy M60, drawing in the neighboring dwarf galaxy: M60 UC-D1, which has its own black hole. If the two galaxies actually meet, the black holes could combine, fortunately, far away from Earth! The black hole in M60 is also influencing nearby galaxy NGC4647, and it is believed that the two will combine at some point in the future.
