Eileen McKeon Butt
My work is a celebration of life as a right brained person. For me this means a non-linear life, and often one where time is on a different scale. It is also a reflective way of existence: everything is connected, and I want to find out how.

A lot of the things I'm most interested in are a bit out of the ordinary, like still lifes that aren't really still, or elements of the world around us that we don't normally get to visualize, like DNA, photons or Higgs bosons!

I like to give an extra dimension to whatever I'm creating. If I draw a portrait, I want it to look alive; I am not interested in surface impressions, in life or in art.

I invite viewers into a different visual world, where small details are made large and important, where reality might seem slightly skewed, but where in the end, everything ultimately makes sense.
