Annihilation/Creation
2014
acrylic on canvas paper
An abstract combination of a Feynman diagram turned on its side along with a figure-ground drawing that shows the process of creation and destruction. In the Feynman diagram, two opposing particles are colliding and annihilating, then producing a photon (wavy line), and again transmuting into two new particles also with opposing charges. I was interested in interpreting this process as it involves both destruction and creation, both having equal value physically and philosophically (IMO), and the succinct Feynman diagram seemed the best treatment to inspire meditation on this topic.

Original painting available. Limited edition, fine art giclees are available in a variety of sizes.
